Please go to site Vipassana. It is of Buddhist School.
This school of meditation was spread in India since 1965 by SN Goenka. He had learn the same while he was staying in Burma. Its headquarter is at Igatpuri (maharashtra). Its 10 days course is FREE and is conducted throughout India. I trust it must be somewhere near your city too. During 10 days one has to maintain complete silence (Arya Moun) i.e No talking, Reading Writing or any other communication. Experience is great.
Of course Vipassana is no medicine. It is definitely above mundane advantage that may come. Meditation (of any school or system) can definitely help your d-i-l.
My suggestion is only because SN Goenka in his days himself suffered by migraine. Him getting cured was a small thing but today this is well established in India and has benefited many.
I did this course in 1989 and follow it only 'off and on' since I do not have any difficulty. Therefore 'as always' laziness always keeps us away from good things.
